Times Change – and So Do My Websites

Today, I made a decision that I’ve been dodging for over a year.

It’s time to accept that the Mandela Effect site has become unmanageable, with daily crashes and related hosting headaches. Between traffic surges and the occasional DDoS… it’s taken too much time from other important projects. (And email…? 3k non-spam emails per day, just to the Mandela Effect address…? There’s no way I could read all of them, much less reply.)

Mandela Effect Book 1 - Major Memories 1So, for now, visitors to the Mandela Effect site (now hosted at WordPress.com) will see a simple, scaled-down version of the original site.

Serious Mandela Effect enthusiasts can read the books that feature all the comments from the Major Memories pages, as well as all of the theories & explanations offered by readers.

I believe those comments hold many key insights that will help us understand this phenomenon (or perhaps phenomena) better in the future.

Those books are FREE to read in Kindle Unlimited, and many public libraries provide access to my books – in digital and printed formats – as well.

So, those important stories and insights will remain within the reach of everyone.

Meanwhile…

That’s not the only site I’m changing, radically.

I’ll be reorganizing Hollow Hill’s articles so people can easily find the information they need. Some of the older, outdated articles will be updated, and others will be deleted.

Hallowfields was a fun concept, but I think that information is better presented in other formats. Different people have different learning modalities. So, that site will transform in the near future, too.

Ghosts 101 evolved from my book of the same name. Over the past year or so, it’s clear that ghost hunting has lost some of its appeal as a personal pursuit. Most people watch related TV shows, instead, especially now as many of us are in “stay at home” mode.

So, I’ve updated the answers, and republished my related book.

More Projects and More Books

Ghost Hunting in Haunted CemeteriesHaving time at home, I’ve had a chance to look at the stack of projects on my to-do list. There are so many books I’ve wanted to write, to share important insights about paranormal research.

Also, I’m enjoying updating some of my past books so they can return to print.

But I’ve also wanted to write new books, like the actual history of “shadow people,” and what we know – and don’t yet know – about them.

I also want to share exactly how I use ley lines to find “hidden” haunted sites. There are simple ways to construct those lines, and they can be fairly reliable.

But, I’d like to explain how to take the concept to the next step, so your research can be laser-focused… pointing you to locations with a very high probability of having paranormal activity.

And, I’ve outlined a series of short, focused books about various aspects of ghost hunting… and now I’ll have more time to write them.

So… that’s what I’m working on. And a big piece of the puzzle – which is helping me reclaim far more time than most people may have realized – was making this decision about the ongoing headaches of the Mandela Effect site.

It was kind of excruciating to remove the Mandela Effect site’s original contents, but – in a day or two, with more time and less stress – I think I may wish I’d taken this step a year ago. Or longer. (Update: Yes, that’s exactly how I feel now.)

Thanks for understanding how difficult this decision was. And I look forward to sharing new insights and fun information with you, in the very near future.

  1. Thank you for doing all this work plus being a custodian and clearinghouse for all of the intriguing thoughts and experiences people have had over the years related to the Mandela effect—which many people don’t realize is a term you helped to coin!
